We must look at ourselves over and over again in order to learn to love, to discover what has kept our hearts closed, and what it means to allow our hearts to open.” Jack Kornfield
collaborative therapy for adults, couples & families
Welcome. When you’re struggling with your partner, yelling at your kids, feeling stuck, alone, anxious or just want to understand yourself better, reaching out for connection can be frightening. Sometimes it’s easier to bury yourself in work or business, to endure, or numb out. But reaching out for help, knowing a challenge lies ahead, actually is a courageous first step to feeling better. I specialize in helping people create lasting change by bringing mindful awareness to the patterns that keep them stuck in anxiety, depression, and in their relationships through compassionate, collaborative psychotherapy. You don’t have to do it alone. Research shows that motivation to dig deep is one of the best predictors of positive therapy outcomes. So is the quality of relationship between client and therapist – even more so than the style of therapy your counselor practices; so please take a moment to look around and see if we might be a good fit. If not, call me anyway and I will recommend some wonderful colleagues here in Portland.
